  Protection - Johannes Grewe, FCI/USA Judge

Johannes Grewe, a former West German Police Officer and K-9 handler. Johannes became a member of the SV in 1964 and was a SV Schutzhund Judge in Germany from 1974 to 1981.

He is a member of the United Schutzhund Clubs of America since 1980 and has held offices on local, regional and national level.

Johannes became USA ’s first conformation judge in 1997 and was appointed breed survey judge in 2002. He served for 4 years as USA’s National Breed Warden and is currently serving USA as a Director at Large. Johannes became a USA working dog judge in 2003 and was recognized by the FCI as a working dog judge in 2006. Johannes was the event coordinator of the 21st WUSV 2008 World Championship held in Cincinnati , USA from October 9 to 12, 2008.

Johannes’s dog training experience includes:

Since 1994 alone, Johannes has trained and titled 20 dogs with a total of 36 titles, 4 dogs from BH to SchH3. He competed successfully in the North American Championship, in 3 European Championships and the first WUSV World Championship. In 1985 in the EUSV Budapest, Hungary, Johannes was the best North American competitor and finished 7th in the world. Johannes has earned the USA Gold Sports Medal.
